Full disclosure here: I’m in dire need of sleep, so I’m not exactly at my erm…“intellectual peak.” (More like “nadir,” but that’s a tangent I’ll spare us both for the time being.)
My question is: I love—as in: overtaken by the ‘human condition,’ involuntary physical reactions by which emotions display themselves through tear ducts & limbs riddled by a menace of gooseflesh; that kind of love—your performance of the Philip Glass concerto.
Have I over-looked where to purchase an mp3 (or CD, for that matter) of this aurgasm-inducing brilliance?
Whatever the case, thank you—
Both for your (greatly-anticipated) response,
As well as/All the more so
For the music.
Gooseflesh eh? Certain pieces of music and it gets me every time – almost no matter how many times I listen.
I’m delighted you like the performance (rather than the video, which is rather poor!). Sadly I have yet to properly record this piece of my looping repertoire. Maybe soon. However I think you would probably like my latest CD offering, “Touchable Dreams” which features many of my favourite looped pieces, alongside some wonderful poetry read by Jeremy Harmer. You can buy it, listen to clips, or download most of the tracks, from my Bandcamp site at http://stevebingham.bandcamp.com. (just to note that I am – even as I write this – still uploading most of the tracks for download over my ridiculously slow rural broadband connection, so if you want downloads please be patient!!)
