Other Info | "The Virtuoso Tradition" 7.30pm in Coton Chapel, 66 High Street, Coton, Cambridge Steve Bingham - violin with Nicola Anderson - cello and special guest Jeremy Harmer - narrator An unusual and entertaining evening of music from the last 300 years by composers with a talent for instrumental playing, and by virtuoso instrumentalists with a talent for composing! Music for solo violin, for violin and cello and for violin and narrator: A diverse selection of pieces, both serious and fun, from a range of composers including Bach, Haydn, Paganini, Kreisler and Wieniawski. With special guest appearances by a toy bicycle horn in "Afters" by Laurie Wedd, and by Jeremy Harmer, who narrates the wonderful "Ferdinand The Bull" by Alan Ridout! Admission is free and wine and soft drinks will be served in the interval. There will be a retiring collection. Seating is limited and so needs to be booked in advannce by emailing Steve. |
